Accounts payable specialists are key members of any organization, ensuring bills and commitments are paid on time, accurately and completely. Many AP specialists rely on software like Microsoft's Excel program to collect, track and update important financial data. This online course will prepare you for the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Expert certification exam for Excel and award you an Accounts Payable Specialist (APS) certification upon successful course completion. APS is an associate-level certification offered Institute of the Finance & Management (IOFM), which demonstrate your understanding of invoices, payments, T&E, Automation and other key financial functions.

Hardware Requirements:
- This course must be taken on a PC. Macs are not compatible.
Software Requirements:
- PC: Windows 10 or later.
- Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are preferred. Microsoft Edge is also compatible.
- Microsoft Office 365, 2021, or 2019 (not included in enrollment). While you can use an older version of Microsoft Office, if you do, there will be some differences between your version and what you see in the course.
- Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- Software must be installed and fully operational before the course begins.
Other:
- Email capabilities and access to a personal email account.

Prerequisites:
While there are no prerequisites to take this course, you should be comfortable using a personal computer and be familiar with operating Microsoft Office software.
Certification Requirements:
IOFM recommends that you meet one of the following for the (APS) certification:
- No degree = 3 yrs. AP experience
- 2-year degree = 2 yrs. AP experience
- 4-year degree = 1 yr. AP experience
