Native Americans of America from Pre Conquest to the Present

This class will look at the major tribal societies of people who lived in America before the Europeans arrived and what happened to them afterward. Lecture and discussion will cover the Woodland Indians of the Northeast, the Iroquois Confederation to the Pueblo societies in the Southwest to the Aztecs of Mexico and the Inuit in the far north, and of course, the Cherokee right here in Georgia.
