| This class is designed both for beginners and those who would like to update and refresh their knowledge of basic bridge bidding using what is referred to as Standard American Bridge. Included in this 8-week class is opening 1 of a suit and 1 no trump as well as responses to these opening bids. The last two lessons deal with competitive bidding (where both pairs bid) including overcalls and takeout doubles. We will also discuss some very basic playing (as declarer and defender) although details of playing and defending are covered in second and third series of classes (each of 8-week duration).
