In this course, you will be introduced to the basics of interior decorating and the psychology of color and design. We will discuss how to find or choose your color palette, how to choose the perfect picture or art, select paint color, furniture, lighting, how to choose the best flooring for your home or business, and so much more. You will learn practical decorating concepts to implement into your home or business. You will be introduced to various Interior Design apps that help when visualizing your room or office. The class will also enjoy a hands-on field trip to DM Interiors and Design to explore current trending options in interior design. Our whole class will attend a field trip during our last class. We will be going to one lucky student's house, and I will give a free interior design consultation for her/his home. This course is perfect for the homeowner or for people considering getting into the interior design business.
Special notice: This class will be delivered online. You will need access to a computer with an internet connection that remains stable for the duration of the class. Though a chat feature is available, a microphone is preferred. For most productive audio/video participation, a webcam and/or headset are encouraged. Virtual classes may be recorded.
