| Designed as an introduction for those who would to start and a refresher for those who are currently painting in oil or acrylic. We will explore traditional painting with an emphasis on realism/impressionism using a limited palette. The students’ knowledge and skills will be evaluated along with their needs and goals so they can create successful paintings. The course will begin with methods of setting up a proper palette, brush selection and the basics of good composition, value (tone), light and color. We will start with color mixing and demonstrate the power of a limited pallet.
