Liberation of the Camps: Accounts of American, British & Russian Soldiers

The course will cover the liberation of the many camps established by the German Nazi government during WWII by American, British and Russian soldiers. It will feature documentary interviews from USC's Shoa Institute and Yad Vashem Museum in Israel. Material from library sources will be included with maps, period photographs and documents. The various camp systems will be discussed to include extermination, concentration camps, ghettos, and slave labor camps. Also included will be a tour of the KSU's WWII and Holocaust Museum.
