Your favorite sweater have a hole? Pants too long? A button came off your coat? Join us for this practical class to learn basic garment maintenance and light alterations. You will learn clothing fitting techniques, tips for working with different types of fabrics and how to make your clothes last longer.
Bring any clothes you’d like to learn to mend, or alter to fit you better. For each class, please bring your sewing machine, pedal, thread, seam ripper and pins. Bring a sewing kit, if you have one to the first class, and we'll go over everything you need to bring to subsequent classes. Sewing kits usually include the supplies above plus: bobbins, pincushion, marking chalk, hand stitch needles, mechanical pencil and paper scissors.
