This class will take you beyond the basics of color palettes and decorating styles and will boost your interior design skills. This hands-on course will focus on more in-depth interior design methods that will enhance the positive energy of a space. Learn about the latest trends in sustainable and environmental designs, exterior outdoor living furniture and products, developing home theatre and kitchen designs. Learn how to choose and coordinate a color palette of fabrics, wallpaper, paint colors and more during a visit to a local fabric store. Students will plan a storyboard for a room in their home. The last class is a site-visit to one student’s home for the class to break into teams to give decorating tips and ideas to the homeowner.
Special notice: This class will be delivered online. You will need access to a computer with an internet connection that remains stable for the duration of the class. Though a chat feature is available, a microphone is preferred. For most productive audio/video participation, a webcam and/or headset are encouraged.
