The Intensive English Program holds intermediate and advanced English language classes for students who wish to reach a high level of fluency and knowledge of English. These classes are designed for international students, F-1 visa students, and any other English student seeking academic English preparation classes. Full-time IEP students take 18 hours of English class per week, in the areas of Grammar, Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking, and Vocabulary. For beginning students and those who are looking for general English courses, please see our Community ESL program.
All IEP students will complete placement testing at orientation, one week before classes start. As the IEP has no beginning level, F-1 students who do not place into the Low Intermediate level or above will be required to transfer immediately.
