Masters of Comedy, Part 2: The Great Stone Face: The Films of Buster Keaton

This course will examine the films of Buster Keaton, who many feel is the greatest of all silent film performers. After analyzing the films of Charlie Chaplin in part 1 and Buster Keaton in part 2, we will be in a position to compare these two comedic giants in order to identify each artist's unique contributions to silent film comedy. Though Chaplin will be referenced frequently, part 1 is not a prerequiste for part 2, which can be enjoyed entirely on its own.
