The WellStar Physician Leadership Academy is built upon the Competing Values Framework (CVF) that was developed by Professor Robert Quinn, Ph.D., and his team of researchers at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.
The PLA’s online content was built using best practices in gamification, micro-learning, and on-the-job application. The content is delivered directly to your desktop, laptop, tablet or smart phone. As you learn you will conquer quests, tackle todo challenges, participate on discussion boards, interact with your Peer Coach, and climb the leaderboard. The online content includes videos from Kennesaw State University, Vizient Southern States, and Leadercast.
The PLA’s hybrid format means the core knowledge needed for the “learning” portion of the program is delivered online and completed in advance of the face-to-face sessions. This approach allows the classroom, which is the “development” portion of the program, to be transformed into an Application Lab that allows for a Rapid Review of the online content and then a Deep Application of the concepts, techniques, and tools.
