| Everyone is familiar with wine from the US, Italy, France, and other European countries. But what about Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, New Zealand, South Africa and other areas south of the equator? What grapes grow there and what wine style are most popular from these regions? This wine appreciation class will focus on an overview of the main wine regions in countries south of the equator, the grapes that grow most successfully there, and the associated wine styles that are making each of these regions famous. This class will include select wine sampling to support the learning process.
