Discover how to troubleshoot a wide range of technology issues – from networking and operating systems to mobile devices and security. This hands-on course is designed to prepare you for success in technical support and IT operations, with a focus on earning the CompTIA A+ certification—widely recognized as the industry standard for launching IT careers. Build on your existing user-level experience with PC software and hardware to learn how to assemble computer components to meet customer needs, as well as install, configure, and maintain PCs, mobile devices, and software applications for end users. Using a combination of instructor-led and virtual labs, you will explore core topics such as network configuration, security management, basic scripting, virtual machine setup, and operational procedures. By the end of the course, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge to take the CompTIA A+ Core 1 and Core 2 certification exams.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be able to:
  • Install and configure PC system unit components and peripheral devices.
  • Utilize CompTIA’s troubleshooting methodology.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot displays, multimedia devices, and storage devices.
  • Summarize basic cable types, their connectors, features, and purposes.
  • Compare and contrast Internet connection types, network types, and their characteristics.
  • Configure network connection settings.
  • Compare and contrast client-side virtualization and cloud solutions.
  • Support and troubleshoot laptops, mobile devices, and print devices.
  • Install, configure, and maintain common operating systems.
  • Identify common social engineering attacks, threats, and vulnerabilities.
  • Implement common methods for securing mobile devices.
  • Manage users, remote access technologies, and shared resources.
  • Implement physical security to protect equipment from theft and tampering.
  • Secure workstations and data using backup and recovery methods.
  • Utilize best practices associated with documentation and change management.
Prerequisites: To ensure your success in this course, you should have experience with basic computer user skills, be able to complete tasks in the Microsoft Windows environment, be able to search for, browse, and access information on the internet, and have basic knowledge of computing concepts. You can obtain this level of skills and knowledge by taking CompTIA TECH+ Certification Training (Voucher Included).

Requirements: A USB thumb drive or external hard disk is required. Access to the internet and a desktop or laptop computer is required. The course fee includes access to CompTIA A+ course materials.
