Operations and Maintenance is the first of four modules required for the FMP® credential.

Facility managers are required to have a working knowledge of building systems, structure, interiors and exteriors, and grounds so the facility and all of its required systems function efficiently, reliably, safely and securely and in a manner consistent with existing regulations and standards. This module begins with an introduction to operations and maintenance. In addition, you will learn how to assess facility needs and manage and oversee the operations and maintenance of buildings, systems, and equipment, as well as occupant services. You will explore how to select the best resources and how to measure and optimize operations and maintenance performance.
