« back to classes page
This course is designed to help players improve bidding, declarer play and defensive techniques.  Concepts include planning the contract, developing extra tricks, basic card combinations, when to pull trump (or not), how to read your opponents cards, when and how to compete in the bidding and more.  Each class will consist of students bidding and playing 8-12 pre-dealt hands, followed by bidding and card play analysis with the instructor, with dulpicate-type scoring (matchpoints).  While emphasis is on dulpicate bridge tactics and scoring, the course will also be beneficial to players playing social bridge. This course does require a basic understanding and experience playing bridge.  The completion of the earlier bridge courses is highly recommended.
