Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud (Photoshop CC) provides support and specialized editing tools for digital photographers and graphic artists. Because Photoshop CC is subscription-based, updates are automatic. In this class, students will master techniques to edit and enhance digital images and add a professional polish to their work. Designed for those with no image-editing experience, this class will take students from novices to accomplished users. Learn simple instructions for correcting flaws, enhancing images, adding text, and preparing images for sharing.
- Learn how to download, crop, and size images according to the various file formats for digital images.
- Prepare documents for printing.
- Learn about layering and using color options to enhance images.
- Create text with many variations and backgrounds, and use basic selection tools and techniques.
- Learn the many selection tools available such as retouching and red eye removal.

Requirements: Internet access, e-mail, Firefox, Internet Explorer (9.0 or above), Google Chrome, or Safari web browser, and a subscription to Adobe's Photoshop CC (Windows 7 or 8, Mac OS X v 10.7 or 10.8). Subscription is not included in course fee. Students should be comfortable acquiring digital images, either with a digital camera, using images scanned onto CDs, or scanning film prints. Students should be familiar with basic computer skills such as using a mouse, creating and accessing folders, and downloading and saving files. All coursework and examples are based on Windows software. Macintosh users are welcome in this course but they should be comfortable with standard Windows/Mac conversions for keyboard differences.
