This online program teaches you to plan a budget, manage payroll systems, and manage accounting. It also makes you aware of the legal standards that apply to accounting methods, giving you the proper credentials you need to practice bookkeeping with confidence.

 

Note: Students should have access to Microsoft Word and Excel to complete assignments.

Learning Objectives:

  • Use basic bookkeeping equations in QuickBooks 2017 and all supporting journals, ledgers, and worksheets.
  • Set up QuickBooks, enter data accurately, and manage the bookkeeping function for a small business.
  • Use double-entry accounting and understand the impacts of debits and credits for all account types.

Materials included: Bookkeeping Made Simple.

QuickBooks 2017 software is included for PC only. The bookkeeping portion of this course can be taken on either an IBM-compatible computer (PC) or a Mac. The QuickBooks tutorial can be taken on an IBM-compatible computer (PC) or a Mac. If you use a Mac, you must purchase the Mac version of the software, although some of the screen shots within the tutorial may differ.

Requirements: Quickbooks 2017 software is included for PC only. High-speed Internet is recommended. Students must have access to Microsoft Word and Excel to complete assignments. This program is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, and more recent operating systems. Internet Explorer 7 and higher is recommended.

You will receive a password and log-in information via email within 3-5 business days of registering for this course. The textbook Bookkeeping Made Simple is included in the cost of the program and will be mailed to you within 10 business days.

You have 180 days to complete this course. You must make a 70 or higher as your final grade to successfully complete the course and receive a certificate of completion.
