Learn how to build and maintain the technology that ensures your website is running efficiently, delivering functionality, and displaying information from the database correctly. The Internet contains nearly 2 billion websites today. People responsible for coding, building, analyzing, and maintaining those 2 billion sites are essential. A Back End Web Developer ensures that the user-facing side of the website can exist and function properly. This translates to more users returning to your site to view new content and information as the back end web developer updates the database and delivers new tools. Discover how to install and use Python to run programs. Navigate common developer tools, such as Linux Shell as well as Git and Github for version control. Identify how the web works by learning about requests and responses, HTTP, DNS, TCP Layers, and network troubleshooting. Learn about creating and using databases with SQL and Python as well as the difference between MySQL and PostgreSQL. Work with CRUD, Flask, web servers, and RESTful APIs. Discover the importance of authorization versus authentication, virtualization, containers, and the usage of cloud deployment. By the end of the course you will be able to:
  • Recognize Python programming and data structures
  • Install and run programs on Python
  • Describe how the web receives requests and responds back
  • Demonstrate how to use Git for version control
