Web development skills are more desirable today than ever before. The need for tools and techniques for adding website functionality and interactivity continue to gain popularity as companies seek to create a valuable user experience. Front End Web Developers bring a site’s design to life by using a combination of creativity and technical knowledge. Everything a visitor to a site views, clicks, or uses is the work of a Front End Web Developer. They bridge the gap between a Designer and a Back End Web Developer. Gain invaluable career training in this intensive six-month course that will instill you with the integral industry tools and development principles to put you at the forefront of technology. Acquire essential skills in HTML and CSS with Dreamweaver while also learning about website interactivity with JavaScript and JavaScript libraries and applications, such as JQuery and Angular. Learn to build responsive sites with Bootstrap using popular content management systems, such as WordPress.  Finalize your site by learning about version control, testing, debugging, SEO, site optimization, Google Analytics, and the fundamentals of running your own web business. These concepts will be applied and reinforced through instructor-led and hands-on projects, quizzes, and a final project and presentation. By the end of the course, students will be able to:

  • Write HTML and CSS using Dreamweaver
  • Add interactivity to websites using JavaScript libraries
  • Construct a responsive site using Bootstrap
  • Apply basic PHP programming for form handling on a website
  • Analyze and select a hosting provider
  • Apply testing and debugging methods
  • Examine overall principles of Search Engine Optimization
  • Implement Google Analytics to review site performance
