Continue your path toward Cisco certification with Scaling and Connecting Networks. This course will help prepare you for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification. Learn the architecture, components, and operations of routers and switches in a large and complex network. You will learn to configure routers and switches for advanced functionality and develop the knowledge and skills needed to implement DHCP and DNS operations in a network.

You will then discover WAN technologies and network services required by converged applications in a complex network. This course enables students to understand the selection criteria of network devices and WAN technologies to meet network requirements. Students will configure and troubleshoot network devices and resolve common issues with data link protocols as well as develop the knowledge and skills needed to implement IPSec and virtual private network (VPN) operations in a complex network. Textbooks are required at the first class meeting and are available at the KSU Center bookstore. Internet access is required.

Prerequisite: Complete Cisco Skills Assessment and Application. Successful completion of Cisco CCENT Certificate or CCENT certification.
