With global social commerce revenues reaching $30 billion in 2015 (mediabistro), more companies are utilizing social media than ever before. The comprehensive program will teach you the basics of content creation and management for blogs, podcasts, and posts. Additionally, you will become savvy with the most popular outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and Pinterest. In doing so, you will gain the ability to identify the functionality differences of each platform and determine which are best suited for your company’s success. Textbooks are required at the first class meeting and are available at the KSU Center bookstore. Internet access is also required.
Prerequisite: Working knowledge of computers is required. Experience and/or familiarity with common social media platforms is recommended.
