Writers have a different way of looking at the world – starting from a very early age. Our week-long Young Writers Summer Camp will help you take a look at the world around you and share what you see in ways that engage the imagination (of both you and your readers). During this workshop, students will learn about different types of writing: fiction – short story/novel; non-fiction – news reporting/memoir/journaling; and poetry/music writing. We will study and discuss other works, learn observation skills, and master techniques that will carry over to writing for school and personal enjoyment.
