ID : 42273
« back to classes page
By 1942 the United States was conducting a two ocean war. The allied war in Europe was intended to be the focus until Germany was defeated.  However, Admiral King the Chief of the U.S. Navy favored the Pacific theater and realized that Japan was the dominant power in that area and needed to be curtailed and even defeated. The Pacific was in large part a Navy theater and many great Navy leaders would rise to the occasion. However, others were also critical. This class will offer insights into these leaders and the various conflicting personalities that eventually combined to defeat the Japanese Empire. You will be introduced to many well-known larger than life leaders and some that history may have passed over. All contributed to leading the Greatest Generation in the Pacific.
