Prerequisites
Students should have a working knowledge of computers and Excel, and access to a computer and the Internet are required. Some prior bookkeeper experience is helpful. Knowledge of common accounting terms and procedures a must. Students must have the ability to troubleshoot software installation, such as installing QuickBooks accounting software package and setting up virtual desktop environment at home. Instructions will be given to students on how to set up the virtual desktop in class.


Certified Bookkeeper
While this course will aid in preparation for the Certified Bookkeeper (CB) certificate exam, it is not specifically a preparation course for the exam. The Certified Bookkeeper (CB) certification is offered by the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB) or the National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers (NACPB). The exam is not administered during the course. Once you successfully complete the course, you will register and pay for the exam separately.
