Community ESL (English as a Second Language) classes are designed to improve the communication skills of anyone who would like to speak, listen, read, and write better in English. These classes are for beginning and intermediate students, and meet for 3 hours per week to work on practical English language skills. Students will register for the session, then have an in-person placement test the week before classes start.

These courses are appropriate for working adults, tourists, au pairs, permanent residents, or community members who wish to improve their general English. For academic preparation, or for F-1 visa students, please see our Intensive English Program courses.

Special notice: Online registration deadline is Friday, 5/24 at 10pm EST. Anyone who enrolls after this time will be charged $300.

The registration deadline is May 24. All new students must attend a placement test on May 22 at 7pm, or May 25 at 9am. The location of the placement test will be emailed after registration.
