Understanding the Holocaust

This course will put the Holocaust into historical perspective by focusing on a wide range of topics, including the roots of antisemitism, the rise of totalitarianism in Europe, Nazi ideology, the development and implementation of the Final Solution, and Jewish and non-Jewish responses to the Holocaust. We will also reflect on what this history reveals about genocide in the 20th and 21st centuries.
