The Early History of Viet Nam: From 3000BC To 1940. A concise story of a country that spans nearly 4,000 years. Born of legend and myth, the Vietnamese have one of the most diverse histories in Asia. Modern Vietnam today has 54 multi-ethnic groups in a nearly 100 million population. The course will follow the origins of the Vietnamese, The DNA doesn’t lie Haplogroup O-M175, the source of 100 Tribes, origins of the Vietnamese clans, founders and kings, the historical effects of Chinese invasions, early United States involvement in Vietnam history, the coming of the French and colonialism. The new course will highlight the work of Mr. Pham Tran Anh, national Vietnamese historian, and author (California), and historian Charlie Brown Phuong (Hawaii).
