Let's Make Stuff Up!

Think of creativity as a muscle, and the only way to strengthen it is through exercise. Josh Langston, bestselling novelist, editor, and long-time OLLI instructor will lead a class on a quest for new ideas and new ways to express them. In addition to weekly writing prompts, students will be asked to share what they dream up. Be prepared to write about things you’ve never dreamed of, because that’s what creativity is all about!  In addition to providing helpful hints to polish prose, Josh will share tips and techniques gleaned over his writing and publishing career. The author of many novels, textbooks, and short story collections, Josh knows his stuff. Many of his students have gone on to write their own novels, essay collections, and memoirs.  His humorous, easy-reading textbook, Write Naked! is required.
