In this “Coding for Arts” summer camp, kids will learn to draw digital pictures through computer coding techniques. It is a unique experience with computer coding applied to energize kids’ artistic talent and creativity. We will draw directly in browsers using web programming and graphics languages (HTML/CSS/JavaScript, SVG, Canvas). The camp starts with painting fundamentals of shape, size, position, and color. Eventually, it expands to advanced techniques applying middle school mathematics concepts (algebra, geometry, area, analytic geometry, coordinates system). Participants' work will feature both logic and creativity. Some starter examples can be seen at https://codepen.io/collection/ANJWVd
