Prerequisite: Admitted to MS in Data Science and Analytics program.

In this course, students will get an introduction to statistical thinking. They will learn the research process with an introduction to sampling and research question choice. They will learn the methods for one variable and two variables analysis, including confidence intervals, correlation, linear regression, odds/risk ratios and hypothesis testing and learn to implement the analysis in statistical software. They will also learn the importance of data science ethics.
