The iconic image of Rosie the Riveter symbolizes the ways American women contributed to the war effort during World War II. This course goes beyond Rosie and explores the critical yet often underrepresented roles of women during World War II. This class sheds light on the women who served as factory workers, nurses, spies, codebreakers, pilots, soldiers, resistance fighters, and community leaders.
