Bridge: Bid and Play for MORE FUN

Beginner/Intermediate. This is a class for students who want to be comfortable opening the bidding and responding to the opening bid of their partner.  We will learn how to compete when our opponents get in the “auction”.  Overcalls, Preemptive Bidding, and Takeout Doubles will be introduced. The most popular bridge conventions-Stayman and Jacoby Transfers-will be covered. Returning to bridge after a life hiatus? This is the class for you!

Textbooks: Audrey Grant’s “Improving Your Judgment 1-Opening the Bidding,” Bridge Basics 2-Competitive Bidding,” and Bridge Basics 3-Popular Conventions” will be used. Students are responsible for the purchase of the texts.
