Designed for those currently on a career track leading toward administrative office management, this course teaches current principles and concepts including information management, technology, communications office systems and administrative procedures.
The class will be broken down into four parts:
- Part I will introduce students to the basic management practices, opportunities and challenges in administrative office management.
- Part II will focus on the managing of human resources in an office.
- Part III will stress leadership, decision-making, and motivation skills in the business environment
- Part IV will cover managing essential administrative services that include office design, space, and health and safety issues.
Internet research projects, case studies and chapter quizzes will help develop skills in strategic planning, organization, and time management.
PREREQUISITE- Prerequisites: High School Diploma or equivalency. Complete Skills Assessment and submit Program Application. Working knowledge of computers and access to computer and Internet is required. Completion of the Administrative Professional Certificate program or 2 years of experience as an Administrative Professional is recommended.
This course can help prepare you for IAAP’s Certification in Organizational Management.
