This Java training course covers most Java syntax elements, concentrating on fundamental and universally useful elements, while providing an overview of many more advanced elements. You will learn to write useful Java classes, applying Object-Oriented concepts such as inheritance, and create Java programs that work with these classes. Early in the course, the concept of objects is introduced so that later concepts can be discussed from the perspective of object orientation.You will work with arrays, interfaces, exceptions, and much more. At the end of the course, you will complete a project.
Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites for this course, however prior knowledge of any programming language is helpful.
Requirements: This course can be taken on either a PC or a Mac OS X. It is compatible with the Windows XP (Service Pack 2) and later operating systems and with the latest versions of any of the following browsers: Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Opera, and Safari. You will need to download the Java SE Development Kit, Java SE 8.0 API documentation, Java Runtime Environment, and Java Editors (Crimson Editor OR Eclipse Integrated Development Environment). All downloads can be found by visiting the course requirements page at the below link to the course syllabus. Please note: There is limited support for configuring Mac OS X for this program. The only supported option for a Mac is Eclipse.

- Understand inheritance and inheritance-related keywords.
