The fastest-growing software market today involves mobile applications (or apps). In this course, you'll learn to use the free Xcode compiler and the Objective-C programming language to program your own apps for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. You'll get acquainted with the way Xcode works, understand the basics of writing programs in Objective-C, and develop a solid foundation for writing your own programs. Even if you're new to programming or familiar with programming a different type of computer, this course will offer the guidance you need to master the basics of creating apps and programs for your Mac device. Note: This course is not suitable for Windows PC users.

Requirements: Internet access, e-mail, the Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox Web browser, Xcode 4.3 compiler, an Intel-based Mac (software must be installed and fully operational before the course begins); Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard or higher.

You must make an 80 or higher on the final exam (online) to successfully complete the course. You may only take the exam once.
