This program is designed to introduce students to the concepts of Lean and Six Sigma, including the DMAIC model. Topics will include capturing the voice of the customer, selecting and managing projects, cost of quality, and basic quality tools. Students will participate in group and individual exercises to solidify their understanding of the topics introduced in the lecture. Optional textbook is available at the KSU Center bookstore. Internet access is also required.
Prerequisites: Familiarity with Excel graphs and Internet access is required. A college degree or equivalent professional experience is recommended.
To earn this designation, students must attend all days. Yellow Belt training is appropriate for employees of any level who will participate in improvement activities.
