This course prepares students for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification Exam and introduces the foundational knowledge and hands-on skills required for safe, professional small unmanned aircraft system (sUAS) operations. Students learn theoretical knowledge that is essential for operating drones commercially in various industries. Through on-campus flight labs, students practice normal and abnormal flight maneuvers, emergency procedures, and gain exposure to industry-specific applications using drones. By the end of the program, students will be equipped with the competencies needed to successfully complete the FAA Part 107 exam and perform standard and mission-based commercial drone operations.
