World War II Mistakes

« back to classes page
This class will reflect on some serious blunders during World War II. We will try to determine the actual impact of these mistakes on the war. Did it cost additional casualties, was it poor planning by the individual leaders or did necessity drive it? Some were obviously honest efforts, some were politically motivated, some were service bias and some were just plain ego driven. You may be surprised at how many were covered by secrecy for years and still do not get full historical coverage due to classification. However, with an 80-year reverse telescope some events appear far more clear today while some are still cloudy. This class will allow for class discussion.
