« back to classes page
Armored warfare has traditionally been studied at universal military colleges and training establishments since World War II. In the United States Army, tank warfare and training after the Vietnam War was expanded and became the focal point of the “AirLand Battle Warfare Doctrine” which was a major part of U.S. Cold War strategy. This 10-part course will focus on particular military campaigns that involved massive armored deployments over wide geographical areas in some of the most inhospitable terrains, involving a variety of armor that was available at the time. Class discussions are encouraged as each period will be covered in detail as it pertains to tank warfare.
