Through a combination of lecture and hands-on, instructor-led and virtual labs, you will simulate real-world scenarios that entry-level IT professionals face in the field. You will learn practical skills, such as network cable creation and wall jack installation, creating mock troubleshooting guides, resolving help desk tickets, and using command-line interfaces (CLI) to perform tasks. Using a learning progression model, the course will also follow a series of steps to elaborate, provide relevance through practice and personalized feedback, context-based application, and demonstrable evidence of skills gained..

What Do I Need To Take the Class?
There are no prerequisites to enroll in this course, however, to ensure your success, you should have some foundational knowledge and experience with computer hardware and navigating the Microsoft Windows operating system. CompTIA recommends all A+ exam applicants have around 12 months of hands-on experience in the lab or field before taking the A+ Core 1 and Core 2 certification exams through CompTIA.

A USB thumb drive or external hard disk is required. Access to the internet and a desktop or laptop computer is required. The course fee includes access to CompTIA A+ course materials.
